Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania
Arrive in Vilnius. Bus transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Vilnius, 4****Hotel.
Day 2: Vilnius – Trakai - Kaunas
Morning sightseeing tour of Vilnius including the grand Cathedral of Peter and Paul, the gothic Church of St Anne’s and the baroque buildings of Vilnius University. In the afternoon excursion to the village of Trakai (26 km) where is a gothic-medieval Castle built by the Grand Duke Gediminas in 1321 on a small island of the Galve Lake. In Trakai live the Caraits, an ethnic minority with Turkish-Jewish origins. Guided tour of the castle. Departure to Kaunas. City tour of the Old Town includes visiting the ruins of the 13th century Kaunas Castle, the 14th century Vytautas Church, the Perkunas (Thunder) House, passing the Cathedral -Basilica. Day 3: Kaunas – Silute - Nida (Curonian spit)
After breakfast departure to Silute. Silute is a city in the south of the Klaipėda County and ethnographic Lithuania Minor. Take a boat for crossing the Curonian Lagoon to Nida, the largest and oldest town on the Curonian spit, 98 km long, thin, curved sand-dune spit that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea. Overnight in Nida, 3*** Hotel.
Day 4: Curonian Spit
Sightseeing tour on the Curonian Spit. Is an unforgettable trip to the beautiful wild nature with Grand sand dunes, pine forests and golden beaches.The tour includes: the Fisherman’s House, famous German writer Thomas Mann’s Museum, Amber Gallery, old ethnographic cemetery, the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante. Overnight in Nida, 3*** Hotel.
Day 5: Klaipeda – Siauliai - Riga
Departure to Klaipeda an ice-free port, fishing and sailing town, the Lithuanian gateway to the sea and the world. Sightseeing tour of Klaipeda, including the Old Town, old Castle territory, Theatre Square and much more. Departure to Riga, the capital of Latvia with visit en route to the Hill of Crosses ( an atmospheric place of pilgrimage) near the town of Siauliai and Rundale Palace, former residence of the Duke of Courland. Arrive Riga, and check-in hotel. Overnight in Riga, 4**** Hotel.
Day 6: Riga - Tallinn
Sightseeing tour of Riga to see the most interesting sights: the Old Town, the Freedom Monument - the symbol of Latvia's independence and strength, the Dome Cathedral, the Church of St.Peter, the old Guild Houses, the Swedish Gate, the architectural ensemble Three Brothers, St.Jacob’s Church, the Parliament House, Old Riga Castle. Afternoon departure to Tallinn with a stop in Gauja National Park, including visit to Turaida Castle and the ruins of the 13th century Crusader Castle in Sigulda. A further drive to Pärnu, the most popular seaside resort of Estonia. Short visit of the Old Town and stroll along the beach. Arrival in Tallinn. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Tallinn, 4**** Hotel.
Day 7: Tallinn
In the morning guided sightseeing tour of Tallinn including the medieval Upper and Lower Towns, Toompea Hill and the Parliament building, the Russian-Orthodox Cathedral Alexander Nevsky, the Song Festival Grounds, baroque Kadriorg Palace, founded in 1721 by the Russian Emperor, Peter the Great. Overnight in Tallinn, 4**** Hotel.
Day 8: Tallinn
Transfer to Tallinn airport. Departure.
